POLICE want to trace a motorist after a 75-year-old woman suffered a broken hip when a car door opened and knocked her to the ground.
Durham Police said the incident happened at Dragonville Retail Park, shortly before 10am on Saturday, September 5.
A police spokesperson said: "It is believed the elderly pedestrian was walking across the car park when a car door opened and knocked the woman over.
"The 75-year-old suffered a broken hip and was taken to hospital. Officers are now keen to identify the owner of the vehicle involved, which is thought to be a black Renault Megane convertible."
Anyone with information should contact Durham Police on 101 quoting incident number 243 of September 5.
