DANCE teachers who kept pupils engaged during lockdown, and who have worked hard to reopen under new restrictions have received our bouquet of the week this week.

Rachel Tiffany and Catherine xx from the Tiffany School of Dance in Darlington were nominated by Cassie Cooper, whose children, aged eight and ten, attend the school

Cassie said: “The teachers from the Tiffany School of Dance need to be recognised for going above and beyond during lockdown.

“They organised classes via Zoom throughout so the children would still feel united and not lonely. They organised at least three classes a week and for different types of dance.

“My two love to dance and were so pleased to be having classes, it also gave them a bit of routine in the week.

“Catherine in particular has had her hen party and wedding cancelled this year, but still put on a brave face to smile every day for the many classes a week that she taught.

“Miss Tiffany’s dedication to all the children was amazing and they even organised a Zoom dance for all the children to learn, so they can put it in their next show when they are reunited again.

“They have also had to make lots of changes before reopening and have done a great job at trying to keep everyone safe and happy.

“This is our way of saying a big thank you to them.”
