A GROUP of seven men from Billingham cycled 320 miles visiting three transporter bridges in aid of a teenage cancer charity.

Graham Wood who organised the event, drove with the other riders to Newport in Wales and then cycled back to Middlesbrough.

The ride, named The Three Trannies Challenge, took place last week. Driving down to Wales on Thursday and returning to Middlesbrough on Sunday.

The group are raising funds for Butterfly Giving which was founded by 17-year-old Hannah Larkin, the charity is dedicated to fighting teenage cancer.

Mr Wood said: "It was well worth doing, I enjoyed it."

Currently, the group has raised between £1,500 and £1,600.

The charity was set up after Hannah met George Soars, a young man who was diagnosed with cancer at a young age and was forced to make a choice: life or limb.

George is well now but was forced to have a leg amputated.
