A WOMAN was left with a bleed on the brain and a broken jaw following an incident in Darlington on Bank Holiday Monday.
The incident took place at around 10pm on Blackwellgate and led to police and an ambulance being called.
Durham Police said in a statement: “We were called at 10.15pm on Bank Holiday Monday (August 31) to a disturbance in Blackwellgate, Darlington, involving a group of men and women, who were all known to each other.
“As a result of the incident, a woman suffered serious facial injuries and several others also sustained injuries.
“A 26-year-old man from Darlington and a 26-year-old woman from Skelton, in Cleveland, were arrested and interviewed by officers the following day.
“A 31-year-old man from the Consett area was also interviewed by officers on September 3 in relation to the incident. All three have been released under investigation while enquiries continue.”
