THE family of a woman who tragically died in Northallerton after being hit by a lorry have expressed their grief over her 'horrific' death.
Pauline Thomas, aged 84, from Crowood Avenue in Stokesley, was killed on Friday afternoon following the collision on Brompton Road, near Kwik Fit in Northallerton.
Her family released a statement today, saying: “Pauline’s family are devastated by her sudden and horrific death.
"They would like to thank the emergency services and members of the public who attended the scene and cared for Pauline, as well as those who supported family members, both at the scene and afterwards.”
Police previously said that the driver of the blue Scania lorry, a man aged in his 50s from the Richmond area, was assisting officers with the collision investigation.
