SEARCH and rescue agencies looking for missing hiker Harry Harvey renewed their appeal to people working in the North Yorkshire Dales to help their search.
North Yorkshire Police have been searching for 80-year-old Harry Harvey since he was reported missing at around 1.30pm on Sunday.
A police helicopter was assisting the search and officers have asked all farmers, game keepers and other people who work in the countryside around the Keld, Muker and Gunnerside areas to check outbuildings and sheltered areas.
Mr Harvey had been walking when he disappeared, possibly after getting lost en route.
A police spokesperson said: "Despite being a competent hiker we are concerned for his welfare.
"Mr Harvey was wearing a black jacket, black trousers and hiking boots.
"If you think you may have seen him, please call us on 101 immediately, and select option 1 then quote reference 12200156224.
"Thank you."
