A BEDALE firm known for its 'Sausage World' site is continuing its charge into the vegan market with an ambitious new product launch.
This month Heck will be launching two new vegan sausages - Vegan Italia and Vegan Apple as well as a new Pork Chorizo and have an ambitious listings growth programme going forward.
Asda Tesco and Sainsbury's will be taking the new products and Heck has also announced a £4m expansion into a dedicated vegan factory at its 'Sausage World' site in Bedale.
Director Jamie Keeble said: "The new launches are in direct response to talking to our consumers about what they want from us going forward.
"We all rolled up our sleeves and thought about other sectors we believed in.
"The chicken mince we launched in August is a direct result of that and we have had a fantastic response from all sorts of different Heck fans, fitness family and slimming."
Heck is also looking at new sectors such as free from and low alcohol.
Mr Keeble said: "We are already gluten and diary free in most of our range and the free from message sits well in our core values."
