A FURTHER 128 people have tested positive for coronavirus in the North-East and North Yorkshire.

330,368 have now tested positive in the UK, the daily figure being 1,522 people with a lab-confirmed positive result.

Figures published on Thursday afternoon revealed that County Durham had the biggest increase in cases since Monday with people having lab-confirmed positive test results for Covid-19 with 3,482 recorded, 26 more since Monday.

There were 12 reported deaths of people who had a positive test result within 28 days today in the UK. A total of 41,477.

The daily figures for coronavirus infections in the North East and North Yorkshire by local authority, as of 4pm on Thursday, August 27, were:
