A MAN has been taken to hospital with critical injuries following a serious incident in Carlin How, near Saltburn, this evening.
A North East Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 4:24pm this afternoon to a person injured on Brotton Road in Carlin How.
"We responded with 2 ambulances, an officer and requested support from the Great North Air Ambulance, alongside Cleveland Police.
"We took one male patient to James Cook Hospital by road with critical injuries.”
A spokesperson for the Great North Air Ambulance said: "We are on the scene in Carlin how shortly after 5pm this evening.
"We had a doctor and paramedic in attendance. We treated a patient on the scene, who was then taken to hospital by road by an ambulance ."
Police have cordoned off the scene and officers in forensic uniforms are examining the scene.
