THE following cases were among those heard at Newton Aycliffe and Peterlee Magistrates’ Court during the last week.

JOSHUA MILES NORMAN, of no fixed address, was handed a 12-week prison sentence after he breached a restraining order repeatedly on August 8, 10 and 11 of this year. The 25-year-old indicated a plea of guilt and was ordered to pay a £156 victim surcharge and £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

GEORGE TREVOR HUTCHINSON, 57 of Hope Street, Crook, was fined £40 after he pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in Durham Market Place on August 11, of this year. Hutchingson was made to pay £34 to fund victim services and £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

DANIEL WILLIAM ALDERSON from Ferryhill, was discharged conditionally for 12 months after he damaged a woman’s front living room window on February 15, of this year, with intent to destroy or damage. The 26-year-old Farrerday Street resident pleaded guilty and was ordered to pay £100 compensation and £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

MATTHEW STOBIE, 36, was disqualified from driving for 12 months after he pleaded guilty to driving whilst under the influence of a controlled drug which exceeded the specified limit on February 7, 2020. The Greenbank Road, Darlington resident, was fined £120 ordered to pay £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service and given a £32 fee to fund victim services.

PERRY HARRISON FROST, 26, of Pierremont Cresent, Darlington, was fined £160 after he pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in Skinnergate on July 25, 2020. Frost was also made to pay £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service and £34 to fund victim services.

TONY RICHARDS who gave his address as a hotel in Durham was handed a community order after he failed to register a new address between June 2019 and October 2019 breaching the Sexual Offences Act 2003. The 33-year-old pleaded guilty.

KARL ORCHARD, 26, of Tindale Crescent, Bishop Auckland, was given a 16-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months after he disclosed a private sexual photograph or film without the consent of the woman shown on December 28, 2018. He pleaded guilty and was ordered to pay £115 to fund victim services and £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

DAVID GARY WEBB, from Darlington, was discharged conditionally for 12 months after he stole razors from Boots on February 2, of this year. The 37-year-old Montrose Street resident pleaded guilty and was ordered to pay £146.78 compensation.

KEVIN JOSEPH FRANK CHARLTON, from Stanley, was fined £50 after he failed without reasonable excuse to comply with supervision requirements imposed following release from a period of imprisonment on three occasions from December 28, 2018 and February 21, 2019. The 31-year-old Edward Terrace resident admitted the breach.

MICHAEL LESLEY GIBSON, of no fixed address, was given a 16-week prison sentence after he stole a £300 bike in Chester-le-Street on July 21, of this year. The 39-year-old indicated a plea of guilt and was made to pay £128 to fund victim services.

KELIVIN ROSS PORTER, 41, was given a four-week concurrent prison sentence after he attempted to damage a property window on August 10, of this year. Porter – from no fixed address – pleaded guilty and was ordered to pay a £128 victim surcharge.

LIAM CRAIG TAYLOR, 30, of Greenhill Terrace, Wheatley Hill, was given a 16-week suspended prison sentence after he entered the home address of a women on August 9, 2020 causing her to be harassed or intimidated in breach or a non-molestation order. He indicated a plea of guilt and was also given a restraining order.

ADAM RICHARDSON 33, from Wheatley Hill, was given a four-week suspended prison sentence after he damaged a cell at Durham city police office on June 29, of this year. The Alexander Terrace resident pleaded guilty and was made to pay £160 compensation and £128 to fund victim services.

STACEY MARIE KINSELLA, 32, of Lowther Road, Bishop Auckland, was discharged conditionally for six months, after she damaged a brick wall, internal window pane and front door between December 14, 2019 and January 30, 2020. Kinsella pleaded guilty and was ordered to pay £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service and £21 to fund victim services.

DAVID WHEELHOUSE, of Brougham Road, Darlington, was fined £80 after he was caught in possession of amphetamines on April 27, 2020. The 41-year-old indicated a plea of guilt and was made to pay £34 to fund victim services and £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

ANNE MARRINER, 51, of Auckland Terrace, Shildon, was given a 18-week suspended prison sentence after she threatened to kill a woman on October 29, 2019.

PAUL STEPHEN HODGSON, 47, was fined £220 after he stole cosmetic items from Poundland on March 17, of this year. The Wycombe Street, Darlington, resident was ordered to pay £47 compensation and £32 to fund victim services.

MARK JORDAN, 31, of Swan Wynd, Staindrop was discharged conditionally for nine months after he stole two bottle of win on May 31, 2020.
