Welcome to Amaani-Elizabeth Nellis Speight, who was born on February 26 at Newcastle RVI, weighing just 2lb 7oz. Mum Sophie Speight and dad Declan Nellis said: “Our little miracle baby born at 27 weeks due to PPROM and had as little as a five per cent chance of survival, defeated all the odds and came out stronger than ever. After spending a long 11 weeks in special care we couldn’t thank the nurses in Ward 35 anymore. Risking their own lives in lockdown to save my little girl’s life. They are the real heroes. We wish our little girl all the health and happiness for the future”
