POLICE are trying to find 12 pocket watches which were taken in a burglary from an elderly man's house.
The items were taken while the man was staying in a care home.
He returned home to discover his property had been burgled and his collection of pocket watches stolen.
The pocket watches are believed to have been taken to a second hand/pawn shop in Stockton town centre and were sold for £2.99 each.
They feature a range of designs, including a stag, motorbike, racing horse, an aeroplane, Westminster Palace, an eagle as well as other patterns.
Officers are appealing to members of the public to locate the watches and return them to the man.
Anyone who may have information regarding the whereabouts of the watches is asked to contact Detective Constable Jessica Whitehouse from Stockton CID on the non-emergency number 101, quoting event number 114836.
