Bradford is home to a surprising amount of celebrities and talented individuals- Zayn Malik (musician), David Hockney (artist) and dynamo (magician), are just some celebs to come from the city.

Many reality TV stars, from the likes of Pop Idol and Britain’s Got Talent, have also emerged over the years- have you ever wondered what has happened to them since they TV debut?

Here are five reality TV stars from Bradford and some information about where they are now.

Nathan Dunn

You might remember Bingley-born Nathan from Big Brother series 11.

Sadly, he didn’t make it long in the show and was the fourth housemate to be evicted.

After Big Brother, he married Rachael White and they had a daughter together in 2017.

Danny Tetley

This Bradford singer reached the semi-finals of the X Factor in 2018.

Sadly, his impressive vocals are overshadowed by his sexual offences- in 2019 he was jailed for 9 years for sexually exploiting underage boys.

Jack Carroll

Comedian, Jack, rose to fame at the age of 14, when he competed in the seventh series of Britain’s Got Talent.

His cerebral palsy was often the subject of his jokes- his wit secured him second place in the competition.

He took part in Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions in 2019 and has even performed his jokes on Live At The Apollo in 2016.

He has also been on Sky One’s Trollied, and CBBC’s The Dog Ate My Homework.

Gareth Gates

This Bradford singer-songwriter rocketed to fame on the first ever series of Pop Idol- Gareth was runner up to Will Young.

Some of Gareth’s top hits include Say It Ain’t So and Unchained Melody.

He hasn’t released a single since 2007, but he did compete in Dancing on Ice: All Stars in 2014; he has also been in a variety of musicals, such as Les Miserables and Boogie Nights.

If you watched channel 4’s The Job Centre, you might recognise business woman, Jane Vincent.

The show followed job seekers in Bradford looking for work at recruitment agency Candelisa People.

Sadly, Candelisa People ceased trading in 2016 due to cash flow problems.

Jane is now part of a recruitment company called Fortem People.
