Have you ever wondered where some famous Carlisle celebrities are now? Some are still in the media, but others have disappeared from our screens altogether.

From the infamous Roxanne Pallett, to 90s singer Lee Brennan, here are five Carlisle celebrities and some information about where they are now.
 

Helen Skelton

Helen Skelton is best known for co-presenting the BBC programme Blue Peter, which she did for five years between 2008-2013.

She is also known for her bravery for taking on challenges such as walking a tightrope across Battersea Power Station, running a 78-mile ultra marathon and using a bike to reach to South Pole.

Most recently, she took part in celebrity SAS Who Dares Wins and made it to the final stage.

Roxanne Pallett

This actress was born in Carlisle and is best known for playing Jo Stiles in the ITV show, Emmerdale. She also had acting roles in Wrong Turn 6: Last Resort and Lake Placid 3.

She hit headlines in 2018 after falsely accusing actor Ryan Thomas of punching her in The Big Brother house.

‘Punch gate’ received more than 25,000 Ofcom complaints and Roxanne apologized repeatedly.

Afterwards, she went into hiding removing her social media profiles.


This year, she got married to firefighter, Jason Carrion, and the couple live in New York together.
 

Mark Graham and Ian Binstead

You might know Mark Graham and Ian Binstead as music duo Sh-Boom. They appeared on the X Factor in 2018 but didn’t make is through the singing competition’s six chair challenge.


However, the duo are still performing and went on tour in 2019.

Lee Brennan

You might recognise Lee as one third of the boy band 911- they were a popular band in the 90s, known for tracks such as ‘The Day We Find Love’ and ‘Bodyshaking’.

The band broke up in 2000, but announced they temporarily came back together in 2012 for the ITV2 documentary ‘The Big Reunion’.


In recent years, Lee has been the face of a Macmillan Cancer campaign.


Along with his fellow bandmates, Lee also embarked on a reunion tour earlier this year called ‘The Boys Are Back.’

Matthew Pagan, Carlisle

Matt Pagan was one part of ‘Collabro’, a singing group who appeared on Britain’s Got Talent in 2014- and went on to win.

Since their victory, they have had sell out tours and sold over one million records.

In 2019, Matt and his fellow band members returned to the stage in 2019 for Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions.

Matt is also a vocal coach and  played Donal in the Broadway musical ‘The Pirate Queen’.
