A large house fire has broken out in Eaglescliffe.
Six fire engines from Coulby Newham, Middlesbrough, Saltburn, Stockton and Yarm are currently attending the fire, which broke out at 11.22am.
The roof is alight of the home in Burnmoor Drive in Eaglescliffe.
It was reported by a resident that two firemen were seen entering the house in breathing apparatus - seemingly checking to see if anyone was in the house.
An investigation officer was also seen arriving at the scene.
Neighbours believe that the owner wasn't thought to be in the house.
The street is now cordoned off.
