A 33-year-old man today appeared in court after he allegedly threatened four 13-year-olds and stole their mobile phones and cash.
Anthony Askew, of Waterlily Close in Middlesbrough was charged with three counts of robbery, attempted robbery, possession of a bladed article and possession of a class A drug.
The incident allegedly happened in Coulby Newham around 8.30pm on Tuesday, (July 28) at Fairy Dell.
A man was reported to have approached a group of four teenagers, aged 13, and threatened them with a knife before stealing three mobile phones and cash.
The case was sent to Teesside Crown Court to be heard on August 28.
