POLICE are asking for information as they work to locate a 56-year-old man reported missing from Middlesbrough.

Anthony Thompson is known to frequent Middlesbrough town centre.

He is described as white with a very pale complexion, 5 feet 4 inches tall, with dark unkempt hair and often has a full beard, although he may also be clean shaven.

He often uses a walking stick.

It is not known what he was last seen wearing but in the past he has worn a long green coat.

Anthony has links to the north west – the Manchester and Oldham areas – as well as Middlesbrough.

Police are very concerned for his welfare and would encourage anyone who has seen him or has information on his whereabouts which may assist us to call 101, reference number 122048.
