A ROAD in North Yorkshire has reopened after a possible unexploded Second World War bomb was discovered.
The A169 at Howe Bridge, between Malton and Pickering, was closed while bomb disposal experts were on the scene but has since reopened.
North Yorkshire Police said a member of the public had located what appears to be an unexploded device from the Second World War and had advised people to avoid the area.
Police have confirmed the road has reopened but is yet to comment further on the incident.
