TWO arrests were made and a large quantity of suspected drugs recovered when Middlesbrough Neighbourhood Policing Team raided a property in the town.
The raid was part of Cleveland Police’s Operation Phoenix; a summer long operation to improve public service, prioritise vulnerability, tackle serious violence and prevent crime.
Acting on intelligence, officers gained entry to a property in Hedingham Close, Grove Hill, at around 4.30pm on Tuesday July 14.
The team recovered drugs thought to be Class C and suspected cannabis, as well as around £3,000 in cash.
A large Samurai-style sword was also taken away from the property.
A 31-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of drug offences and have been released under investigation as enquiries continue.
If you’re concerned about suspected drugs activity in your community, report it to police on 101.
