THE HIGH Sheriff of Cumbria has thanked Cumbrian food stores for their efforts during the coronavirus pandemic.
Brocklebanks of Ulverston and the Lake District Lobster and Seafood Company, Ulverston, were brought to the High Sheriff's attention by grateful members of the community.
High Sheriff of Cumbria Julie Barton said: "Thank you to all the local stores in Cumbria who have been delivering food supplies during the pandemic. You have been working so hard to ensure food deliveries for local people, including the vulnerable.
"You have made such a difference to so many people. Thank you also to all those people who have stepped up to support their local communities by helping with these shop deliveries.
"You have helped keep people safe."
