A fire crew from Seaham yesterday managed to rescue a seagull that was trapped.
The Seaham Fire Crew from County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service were called to the rescue of a Seagull who was tangled in the wires of a telegraph pole near Newlands Road East.
The crew used a ladder to reach the bird and bring them down to safety.
The crew took him back to the station where they handed over to the care of the RSPCA.
On Facebook the Fire Service said: "Great job everyone."
