BEAUTICIANS, tattooists and tanning salons can reopen from Monday in the latest easing of the lockdown.
Culture Secretary Oliver Dowden told the Downing Street press conference: "Having allowed hairdressers to reopen, beauticians, tattooists, spas, tanning salons and other close contact services can now do the same, I'm pleased to say, from Monday.
"Of course that will be subject to some restrictions on particularly high-risk services."
He said that the major easing of the lockdown on Saturday to allow pubs and restaurants to reopen has not adversely affected the coronavirus fight.
He told the Downing Street press conference: "All the data is continuing to move in the right direction.
"Prior to July 4 we announced a number of easements. We haven't seen as a result of those that the number is increasing. In fact it continues to decline."
He said that on Thursday afternoon he had "further extensive conversations" with chief medical officer for England Professor Chris Whitty before announcing the latest easings.
