Police in Dumfries & Galloway have issued an appeal for witnesses after an incident of vandalism in Annan.

The vandalism, which took place on Saturday, involved damage to a number of cars parked on Stapleton Road, Turnberry Park and Shawhill Road, at about 9.40pm.

A spokesman for the Dumfries and Galloway Police Division said: "On speaking with witnesses and checking CCTV, it has been established that four males were in the area at the time the vandalism occurred.

"Three of the males were described as follows: male one - white male, mid teens, around 5 ft 7in tall, clean shaven, wearing dark tracksuit bottoms, dark tracksuit gilet with white t-shirt underneath, dark trainers.

"Male two - white male, mid teens, around 5ft 7in tall, clean shaven, wearing dark tracksuit bottoms, two tone hooded jacket or hoodie, dark trainers.

"Male three - white male, mid teens, around 5ft 7in tall, clean shaven, wearing light, possibly light grey tracksuit bottoms, long sleeve tracksuit top, possibly light grey, light or grey footwear.

"The fourth male could only be described as wearing a grey coloured hooded top.

"If you saw or heard anything suspicious or have any information that may assist officers with their enquiries in relation to this incident, please phone us on 101 quoting ref 3997 of July 4."
