Duckling drowns after break-in at Spennymoor allotments
A DUCKLING has died following a break-in at allotments in Spennymoor.
The duckling was among a number of young birds being kept in a shed on an allotment on Green Lane as they are too young to be kept outside.
But the baby bird drowned after it was let out of the shed by an intruder sometime on Tuesday night.
Police are appealing for anyone who saw anyone acting suspicious in the area to come forward.
Call Durham Constabulary on 101, quoting incident number 240 of July 1.
