NORTH-East businesses have pulled together to support a charity in launching its new online store for designer pre-loved clothes.

The Daisy Chain charity, which offers support to those living with autism, has received help from Visualsoft to produce the web platform, and a grant of £3,000 for camera equipment from Newcastle Building Society’s Community Fund.

This which will be used to create the content and display the items on the new website which is due to go live on July 31.

It will sell a range of high-end designer items and exclusive vintage and festival pieces.

Neeraj Sharma, chief executive of Daisy Chain, said: “The coronavirus pandemic has proved a challenge for charities everywhere.

"We’re hugely grateful for the support we’ve received from Visualsoft and Newcastle Building Society, which is enabling us to develop an innovative new way of generating funds for the people we support."

He added: “For charities, especially at the moment, every penny counts, and I am looking forward to seeing the tangible difference that income from our new site will make to the lives of children and adults with autism.”
