THERE have been no new coronavirus patient deaths in the North-East and North Yorkshire for the first time since the outbreak began.
Latest figures published on Monday afternoon confirmed no hospitals in our region had reported any new Covid-19 deaths.
It comes as a further 20 people died in hospitals across England over the same reporting period.
A spokesperson for NHS England said: "A further 20 people, who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 28,338.
"Patients were aged between 55 and 98 years old. All patients had underlying health conditions. Their families have been informed."

Newcastle Upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust - 116 no change
York Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust – 214 no change
Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust - 80 no change
Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust (mental health) – 7 no change
Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust (mental health) – 7 no change
Total: 1,719 was 1,719 the day before - remained the same
