THREE people have been arrested after a woman was allegedly sprayed in the face with a gas before having cash stolen from her.
The incident was reported in the Hardwick area of Stockton at around midday on Saturday.
Police were called to a report of a group of people allegedly causing damage to a property in Scurfield Road, Stockton.
A woman in her late teens was then reportedly assaulted with a form of gas being sprayed in her face and allegedly robbed of around £100 in cash.
Officers and a special constable from Stockton’s IRT C team attended the call.
Three people have been arrested.
A 17-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of robbery, criminal damage and common assault.
A 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of robbery and criminal damage.
A 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of robbery and criminal damage.
All three arrested persons were released on conditional bail as enquiries continue.
