A BODY has been found in the search for a man missing from Hartlepool.
Cleveland Police had been searching for 58-year-old Malcolm Godfrey.
Officers involved in the search have confirmed a body has been found.
The death is not being treated as suspicious.
A spokesperson for Cleveland Police said: "Police were called after a member of the public found the body of a man on Greatham Street in Hartlepool at around 8.30am this morning, Monday 15th June.
"The body has been identified as that of missing Malcolm Godfrey. His family has been informed and our thoughts are with them at this difficult time.
"The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
