TWO men have been charged in connection with an armed bank robbery.
No one was injured as a result of the incident which happened at Barclays Bank on York Road, Hartlepool, at 10.10am on Friday, June 12.
Cleveland Police said yesterday that four people had been arrested in connection with the robbery.
A man, aged 42, has since been charged with robbery, possession of a class A drug and possession of an imitation firearm.
A second man, aged 49, has been charged with robbery.
The two men, both from the Hartlepool area, will appear at Teesside Magistrates Court tomorrow, Monday, June 15.
A 39-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman have been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
