Here are the key coronavirus updates from the last 24-hours.

• A further three people have died in hospitals in the North-East and North Yorkshire after testing positive for coronavirus. Figures published on Saturday afternoon confirmed further deaths reported in County Durham and Darlington; Gateshead and North Tees and Hartlepool.

• A total of 1,696 coronavirus hospital patients have now died in the region after testing positive for Covid-19.

• Latest figures show the number of coronavirus patients to die in the UK has risen by 181 to 41,662.

• The Government said that 188,794 tests were done on June 12, 1,425 were positive. That takes the total number of people who have tested positive in the UK to 294,375.

• Families have started to be reunited as single people, lone parents and grandparents were able to start forming "support bubbles" with one other household from yesterday. Couples who do not live together and had been required to remain 2m apart if they met outdoors are again able to stay overnight at each other's homes.
