POLICE are appealing for help to find car keys and a watch, believed to be stolen from a Redcar and Cleveland house over the weekend.

A woman in her forties was awoken by two alleged intruders in a property on Princes Road, Saltburn, at around 4am on Saturday, June 6.

They were chased from the property by the woman’s dog, and some suspected stolen property was found by police nearby, including a purse.

But now officers are asking for help in tracing other items, including car keys for a Subaru and a man’s Lacoste watch, and would like to hear from anyone who may have come across these items in the Saltburn area, close to Princes Road.

Two men, aged 20 and 28, were arrested and have since been charged with burglary and theft.

Both will appear at Teesside Magistrates Court today, Monday June 8.

Anyone with information regarding the suspected stolen items is asked to contact Sergeant Dan Cook from Redcar and Cleveland CID on the non-emergency number 101, quoting event number 91103.
