THREE people were taken to hospital after a car crashed into the garden of a Teesside home.

It happened near Upleatham, near Redcar at about 11.40pm last night.

Police say a blue Seat Ibiza crashed into the garden and rolled several times before coming to a stop in the front garden of the bungalow at Four Lane Ends.

Three passengers were taken to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough.

Two 19-year-old women and a 21-year-old man were all hurt in the crash.

The 22-year-old driver was unharmed, a police spokesperson said.

No-one in the property was injured.

A spokesperson for Cleveland Police said: "We're appealing for information after a blue Seat Ibiza crashed into the garden of a bungalow at Four Lane Ends near Upleatham in Redcar at around 11.40pm last night.

 

 

"The car rolled several times and stopped in the front garden of the address. No-one inside the property was physically injured but three passengers in the car, who were two 19-year-old women and a 21-year-old man, were taken to James Cook University Hospital with injuries. The 22-year-old driver was unharmed.

"Anyone who witnessed anything or who has any information is asked to call Cleveland Police on the non-emergency number 101 quoting 089528."
