CALLOUS scammers are contacting women by text message claiming to be from the call and recall service to advise they are overdue for screening.
Trading Standards Officers say the message asks them to call a mobile number and provide personal details. These messages are not from the NHS Cervical Screening Programme.
Halton Borough Council’s Executive Board Member for Trading Standards Councillor Dave Cargill said: “Please DO NOT disclose any personal information should you receive this message.
"This has been reported to the Action Fraud Line."
