TAYLOR Wimpey North Yorkshire has donated almost 7,000 items of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) to two Stockton-on-Tees care homes, providing vital supplies to help the nation’s fight against Covid-19.

Allison House in Thornaby and Victoria House in the centre of Stockton-on-Tees received a range of PPE including visors, face masks, 3D-printed face shields, gloves and aprons, as well as large-format jigsaws, colouring books, pens and crayons, traditional games and CDs to keep the residents entertained.

With the UK’s PPE shortage worsening daily as demand continues to outstrip supply, health and care organisations have become heavily reliant on equipment donations to help them through.

Angela Blythe, care home manager at Allison House, said: “I can’t express how grateful we are for this donation, especially as our usual suppliers have been unable to deliver.

“Without vital PPE, our residents and staff would be at risk, so we can’t thank Taylor Wimpey enough for their kind contributions."
