A MOTORCYCLIST has suffered life-changing injuries in a crash near Skipton.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision on the A682 at Nappa, between Gisburn and Hellifield.

They are especially keen to speak to the pillion passenger of a motorcycle who stopped and assisted with lifesaving first aid.

The rider, who is in his 30s, was airlifted to hospital after losing control of the Kawasaki motorcycle.

It happened around 3.05pm yesterday and the route was closed for several hours so the incident could be dealt with and investigated.

A police spokesperson said: "We're appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have dashcam footage of the motorcycle being ridden with another bike prior to the incident.
