A CAR was destroyed in a back street arson attack one night this week.
Just after midnight on Wednesday, May 20 the car was set on fire in the rear lane of Victoria Street, Shotton Colliery.
Peterlee Police said the vehicle was extensively damaged by the fire and officers are now appealing for help to identify the arsonist.
Anyone who may have seen or heard the incident or has any information about who is responsible is asked to contact Peterlee Police via Durham Constabulary's non-emergency number 101, by private message to Peterlee Police on Facebook, quoting DHM-20052020-0010.
