A MAN'S body has been found in a Hartlepool street, with police and investigators attending the scene yesterday. 

Cleveland Police officers were called to a report of a man’s body in an area next to Wiltshire Way in Hartlepool at 4.50pm yesterday, Monday May 18.

The death is currently being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing, during which police will remain at the scene.

A cordon was put up yesterday as crime scene investigation experts arrived to attend the incident. Officers taped off parts of a path which connects Wiltshire Way with Grayfields.

A spokesman for North East Ambulance Service said: “We were called to an incident in Wiltshire Way, in Hartlepool, at 4.58pm and dispatched an advanced paramedic.”
