In the North East and Yorkshire, 11 more people have died from coronavirus, latest figures have shown.

This is an increase of yesterday (Sunday), which reported six new deaths.

The daily figures may not include all deaths that occurred on that day or on recent prior days due to how they are reported by hospitals.

Guidance issued with the figures says confirmation of Covid-19 diagnosis, death notification, death certificates and reporting in central figures can take up to several days and adds that hospitals providing the data are under significant operational pressure.
