THOUSANDS of pounds has been awarded to local projects supporting nature.
Tees Valley Nature Partnership’s first-ever grant round was a huge success has donated over £12,000 to 14 groups, either fully or part funding their application.
Amongst those chosen were: Eston Arts, Bluebell Beck, Fairy Dell, Redcar Cemetery, The Denes, Grangetown's Generations, Greenlinks, Harbron Community Wood, and Vision 25. Drinkfield Marsh will use the funds to develop a new trail around the nature reserve.
Timothy Crawshaw, Chair of the Tees Valley Nature Partnership said “We launched this grant as a response to local groups who want to support nature and needed funding for improvements. Local nature is critical to our wellbeing and we are leased to help the great work of these nature champions”.
