IN less than three weeks since work started, the second Nightingale Hospital in the North-East and North Yorkshire will officially open on Tuesday (April 21).
Harrogate Convention Centre has been converted into NHS Nightingale Yorkshire and the Humber following the work of hundreds of people to open the 500-bed site.
It's the second field hospital of its kind in our region, with the Nightingale Hospital North East near Sunderland, expected to open towards the end of April - if needed.
The new Nightingale Hospital in North Yorkshire is one of seven that have opened, or are being built, across the UK to help the NHS cope with the coronavirus pandemic.
