SIX people have now been arrested in connection with a murder investigation after a man died on Sunday,
A 42-year-old man died as a result of serious injuries following an incident on Smith Street, in Stockton, on Friday, April 3.
The incident happened at about 10.45pm.
The man died in hospital on Sunday as a result of his injuries.
Five men and a woman have now been arrested as part of the investigation.
The men aged 20, 26, 28, 23 and 22 have been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
A woman aged 30 currently remains in police custody.
Police are continuing to appeal for anyone with information regarding the incident, or for any key workers or members of the public who were out for essential travel in the area and time of the incident to please come forward with information.
