STAFF at a village pharmacy have offered to deliver prescriptions to patients in the area amid the Covid-19 crisis.

Many users are unable to visit Sacriston Pharmacy due to home isolation guidance to stem the spread of the virus.

Superintendent pharmacist Sri Kanaparthy said customers should ring the premises and staff will aim to respond.

“All our dispensary staff and delivery drivers at Sacriston Pharmacy are customer focussed and trained to identify and respond to the needs of the customers.

“We would be more than happy to deliver prescriptions to any patients in the area. We ask that anyone who would like this free service calls us, on 0191-371 0704, and our staff will assist them.

“I am grateful to the dedication and commitment our staff are showing in these unprecedented times.”
