SIX more patients have died at The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital (SaTH) Trust, in the the latest release of coronavirus figures.
The overall total of deaths at the two hospitals in SaTH – the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and Princess Royal Hospiotal in Telford – now stands at 34, with with a steady increase in the daily total since the outbreak.
In a statement from SaTH, the Trust paid their condolences to the victims.
It said: "The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is currently treating patients who have tested positive for COVID-19 (coronavirus).
"Sadly we can confirm that 34 patients being cared for at our hospitals, and who had tested positive for COVID-19, have died.
"Six of those have been announced today.
"Our thoughts and condolences are with the families and friends of those patients at this very difficult and distressing time."
