POLICE are investigating after a clubs historical trophy collection was stolen last weekend.
More than 50 of the trophies ranging from cups, shields and plates were stolen on from Chester-Le-Street Golf Club.
The burglary took place around 11pm on Sunday, April 5. Durham Police are investigating and are appealing for any information.
It is believed the suspect forced entry into the club and once inside took around 50 trophies from a large cabinet. It is believed they made off in a vehicle.
Officers are now keen to speak to anyone who may have seen the trophies or who has been offered them.
Anyone with information is asked to call DC Bentham on 101 quoting incident number 440 of April 5.
