FIREFIGHTERS were called to a fire in the open in Whitchurch on Sunday evening.
Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) received a call at 17.58pm, with reports of a fire in Ash Magna.
One crew was sent to the incident from Whitchurch Fire Station, and discovered the fire was a controlled burn upon arrival.
Advice was given to the occupier of the fire and no more action was taken by the firefighters.
Meanwhile, SFRS has urged Shropshire residents to refrain from holding bonfires and controlled burns where possible, during the coronavirus pandemic.
Meanwhile, firefighters from Prees assisted with a collision on Monday morning.
The collision was reported just after 8am on Monday, April 6, in Prees Green, and one crew was deployed to the incident.
No one was trapped in the collision, which involved two cars, and firefighters were present for around 20 minutes making the scene safe.
