A BUSINESS dedicated to delivering incontinence products has been set up in a bid to "change lives" and tackle existing taboo.

Durham-based Lyla - an acronym for 'live your life again' - launched five weeks ago and delivers incontinence products, such as pads, to women across the North-East and UK in monthly supplies and discrete packaging.

Director of marketing Ian Clarkson said: "While women are happy to pick up sanitary items, incontinence products are often quickly hidden under shopping in the basket.

"So much is available online these days, so why aren’t they?"

While the team had planned to launch anyway, Mr Clarkson believes the coronavirus pandemic has made the service more important than ever, as many needing such products are isolated and rely on others to do their shopping.

"We were looking to improve the lives of many who have the problem and deliver a better quality of life, it's not about making money," Mr Clarkson added.

"The same women are now confined to their homes so this is more important than ever, especially in the next few months. We didn’t know this was going to happen but still want to make lives easier and help fight the taboo."
