A NORTH East firm has pledged to plant more than 100 trees across the region.

North East Heating Solutions has partnered with Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust (YDMT) to plant the trees across the North of England.

As part of their pledge to help offset carbon emissions, North East Heating Solutions will be planting a new tree in the Yorkshire Dales for every heating installation they complete. This partnership will see more than 100 trees planted each year on behalf of the company for their customers.

Owner of North East Heating Solutions, Howard Klineberg, said: “I’m pleased to announce our partnership with Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust. "Our company values strongly believe in giving back to the community and taking care of the environment. As an electric heating solution, we help our customers reduce their carbon footprint by offering them a heating system that can be paired with solar panels or a 100% green tariff from green energy providers. I’m thrilled that we can now do even more for the environment."

Carol Douglas, Woodland Officer at YDMT, added: “Through our ‘Together for Trees’ campaign we are working with many supporters and partners such as North East Heating Solutions to plant 100,000 additional trees across the region.

“Trees are hugely valuable as a habitat for wildlife support some of our most endangered woodland animals, like red squirrels, dormice and cuckoos.

“They are also important for our mental health and wellbeing and we believe that everyone should have access to them. The appeal aims to raise funds to create beautiful woodlands that everyone can enjoy for years to come.”

The partnership between North East Heating Solutions and Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust began in March and has already seen the planting of 12 trees.
