A MAN has appeared at court charged with the murder of Christopher Ritchie in Durham.
Jonathon Morgan, of Allergate, Durham, appeared at a hearing at Teesside Crown Court on Tuesday in connection with his death.
The 26-year-old did not enter a plea and was remanded in custody to appear in court for trial on September 7.
Mr Ritchie died after he was stabbed in Mitchell Street, in Durham, just before 8.30am on Thursday, March 19.
A post-mortem examination confirmed the 41-year-old died as a result of stab wounds.
