Christopher Ritchie
DETECTIVES investigating the death of Christopher Ritchie have tonight charged a man with murder.
Jonathon Morgan, 26, of Allergate, Durham, has been charged with murder and remanded in custody. He will appear in court on Monday morning.
Mr Ritchie died after he was stabbed in Mitchell Street, Durham, just before 8.30am on Thursday, March 19.
A post-mortem examination confirmed the 41-year-old died as a result of stab wounds.
Anyone with any information is asked to call Durham Constabulary on 101, quoting incident reference 56 of March 19.
