A WOMAN has been assaulted after being approached by three men while she was walking in North Yorkshire in the early hours today.
It happened between 3am and 4am on Sunday in Northallerton.
Police are appealing for anyone with information about the assault, which happened in Greenhowsyke Lane, to come forward.
A police spokesperson said: "This incident involved a lone female who was walking along Crosby Road before turning onto Greenhowsyke Lane.
"During her walk along Greenhowsyke Lane she was approached by three males before being assaulted by one of the males.
"If anyone has any information, CCTV or anything to assist the investigation please contact North Yorkshire Police."
